Work Schedule: Monday Friday 8:30am 5:30pm & rotating Saturdays 8:30am 2:30pm 

DUTIES

Promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts (members, potential members and non-members visiting the branch, and staff).

Proactively inquire and correctly identify the needs of our members and potential members. Provide information regarding Velocity's products and services as appropriate.

Confirm, collect and update any missing information from the member's file (email, telephone numbers, address, etc.).

Assist members with basic account service requests such as statement copies, mobile/online banking access, address changes, debit card reissues, debit card re-Pin, notary services and other account services.

Support branch staff by monitoring lobby traffic patterns. Provide members/potential members with an estimated waiting time for a meeting with a branch associate. Identify and provide to member/potential members any information or paperwork they might need or be able to complete while waiting.

Based on lobby traffic, perform limited teller transactions to reduce teller line.

Ensure brochures, rate sheets, account opening documents and other marketing/promotional materials are in place and up to date.

Conduct a daily review of the branch to identify facility items needing service, replacement and process requests with the manager's approval.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication skills, ability to consistently be the "smile" that all members/potential members are welcomed when they enter the branch.

Effectively resolve member concerns and diffuse escalations in a positive manner. Must be able to project a positive, professional image through personal appearance and demeanor.

Project a confident and knowledgeable demeanor that includes excellent communication skills, decisiveness, and ownership of the Department responsibilities.

Basic mathematics, typing by touch, operating an adding machine, money handling/counting, and operation of basic office machines.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

High school diploma, GED, or vocational equivalent required.

Minimum six months of experience in a credit union, bank or other financial institution.

General knowledge of financial products and services.
