Work Schedule: Monday Friday 8:30am 5:30pm and rotating Saturdays 8:30am 2:30pm

PURPOSE

Champion the role of an Assistant Branch Manager by regularly demonstrating and promoting integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all core competencies (such as member service, sales, accuracy, and documentation) within the branch. Promote a work environment within the branch that consistently delivers superior service to all Credit Union members. Directs and administers the operational efforts of the Branch.

DUTIES

Envelop critical behaviors that project a well-rounded and knowledgeable assistant branch manager, including excellent communication skills, decisiveness, leadership, subordinate development and ownership of branch responsibilities.

Support a positive and productive work environment by advancing Management's directives, by setting a positive example for others through demonstrated actions.

Directly supervises employees at branch office.

Manages the branch in the absence of the branch manager.

Manages the branch as an income center to achieve income and expense targets.

Participates in the development of sales and service goals and targets.

Communicates and coaches regularly with staff progress towards goals.

Participates in community activities within the reach of the credit union to enhance public awareness and to leave a positive impression of the credit union.

Demonstrates the delivery of quality member service at the branch through personal contact with members and prospects.

Provides input to the development of sales and advertising strategies for new credit union products and services.

Cross-sells additional accounts or services to current or prospective members.

Manage branch transactions, loan volumes, expenses and profitability so they are line with the Credit Union standards.

Resolve member disputes and/or error resolution quickly, as required.

Manage vault change fund and all duties required to successfully maintain appropriate fund for branch and assigned ATM.

Participate in the development of branch performance standards in areas such as operating loss control, teller levels of experience, bank secrecy and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

Assist the branch manager to oversee the direction of the branch staff to assure effective utilization of personnel, timely and objective performance evaluations, equitable salary structure and identifiable career paths for qualified and interested candidates.

Controls branch office expenses and recommends budget to management.

Safeguard the assets of the branch by ensuring that all corporate policies and procedures are followed, all security procedures are enforced, and branch personnel comply with all related state and federal banking regulations.

Supports a positive and productive work environment by advancing Management's directives and by consistently demonstrating a positive example for others.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess skills in basic mathematics, typing by touch, operating an adding machine, money handling/counting, and operation of basic office machines.

Must possess effective verbal communication skills and presentation techniques.

Must be able to project a positive, professional image through personal appearance and demeanor.

Must be able to communicate well with new employees and trainees and provide guidance and training related to the job.

Effectively resolve member concerns and diffuse escalations in a positive manner.

Ability to express oneself, clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts and develop solutions.

Ability to analyze statistics and financial data

Over three years, up to and including five years of experience in a related field required.

High school diploma, GED, or vocational equivalent required.
